COVID-19 RESPONSE
COVID-19 RESPONSE
May 24, 2020

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is a global challenge that’s having a real impact on the communities the Dawson Co-op serves.

Your Dawson Co-op is taking steps across all locations to help our communities stay safe and healthy. All Dawson Co-op locations are cleaned and sanitized daily as part of normal business, but all locations are increasing the frequency of cleaning, especially at high touched areas. We are also encouraging employees and customers to practice physical distancing as well as try and send one designated shopper per household if possible to deter from the “social shopping” effect. Plexiglas screens have been installed at the tills and hand sanitizer/wipes are offered as well. We are also ensuring that available preventative resources are made available to both customers and employees.

Your Dawson Co-op is working with it’s employees to ensure that they have current information on prevention so they can stay healthy or stay home if they are feeling ill. These practices are informed by Health Canada and the World Health Organization. We’re also encouraging all Dawson Co-op customers and members to keep informed on prevention by visiting Health Canada, WHO and other helpful resources.
